Fun Facts

There is a great deal about myself I could share, but I will just inform you on the most interesting. I am an awesome rescue ninja, which is another name for a nurse, or shall I say, future nurse. I am a pretty good dancer, and I sing often, even though it probably is not too pleasing to the ear. Being involved in community service in relation to the youth is by far one of my greatest passions.

About Me

I am currently a senior at Georgia State University majoring in nursing. I grew up in a small, country town in Southeast Georgia that only has four caution lights; however, it was the best childhood anyone could ask for. Although I do not play for any of my school's teams, I am extremely athletic. I try my best to be socially involved while maintaining great academics. Throughout my entire college career, I have been consistently on the Dean's and President's list. I love doing new and adventurous things, as well as meeting new people.

I have been atlanta">tutoring in different aspects for awhile now. With the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, I atlanta">tutor eighth grade math to inner-city in an effort to improve successful passing of the CRCT. I am involved in a community service organization on campus that atlanta">tutors young, high school ladies who are enrolled in early college courses at the university. I atlanta">tutor middle and high school students with an off-campus organization called Collegiate 100. Additionally, I mentor young girls and boys in middle and high school, as well as college females.

My atlanta">tutoring approach focuses on recognizing the specific student's learning style. For example, one student may learn better when giving visuals, while another learns better when doing hands-on tasks. Organization is absolutely essential for a successful atlanta">tutoring session so that there is a clear understanding of tasks and goals. The most important aspect to my approach is knowing the student's strengths and weaknesses in order to establish a baseline of the foundation that is present and path that needs to be taken to ensure maximum success.
