In addition to being a research scientist I am also a pilot. I enjoy flying and sharing my experiences with others.

About Me

I have been a research chemist for almost thirty-five years and a college instructor for over twelve. I have taught general college chemistry, general organic and biochemistry. I have also had experience working in tutoring laboratories.

My approach to tutoring and teaching is to determine first what the student is deficient in and from there how best to help him. By identifying where the problem lies is crucial to achieving successful results.

The next thing is to show the student how to adapt his thinking to incorporate the general knowledge and direct it toward problem solving. By doing this the student then may logically progress through the material.
