Fun Facts

Upon meeting me, people quickly learn that I love adventure! Growing up with three older brothers I was always surrounded by, and participating in, high-adrenaline activities. As a result, I have developed a passion for activities such as wake boarding and cliff jumping. I have a soft side as well, which can be seen through my love for animals. I have two dogs who I absolutely adore.

About Me

I am a sophomore at boston-university">Boston University, dual majoring in Math Education and education/massachusetts/boston">Special Education. I transferred to BU's School of Education after spending my first semester of college at Lehigh University studying Mathematics. Upon graduating I hope to get a full time job teaching high school math in Massachusetts. While teaching I hope to also be enrolled in BU's graduate program so I can earn my Masters in Education.

In high school I was a member of the National Honors Society, which granted me the opportunity to boston">tutor students in all subject areas offered by my high school. Upon arriving to boston-university">Boston University in the spring of 2012, I enrolled in a education course that immediately sent my out in the field, student teaching. Every Wednesday I went to a local middle school in Boston and shadowed a 7th grade Math teacher. During this time I would teach lessons, evaluate homework, and be an extra set of hands, helping to answer students questions. Working for Frog boston">Tutoring gives me the opportunity to continue to work with kids and strengthen their understanding and love for learning.

Up until my sophomore year of high school I hated math. Everyday I would drag my heels to class. However, my sophomore year geometry teacher quickly changed my opinion. Through positive reinforcement and devotion, my teach helped me to realize my potential, and ultimately my love for math. When I boston">tutor, I try to embody the same levels of encouragement and devotion as my sophomore year geometry teacher. I will be an aid to the students, asking questions that will help develop their critical thinking and problem solving skills, ultimately allowing them to be successful in class.
