Fun Facts

I am from Washington D.C. and I love it so much. I would love to travel to other cities and countries to experience new cultures. I enjoy hanging out with my friends and family, listening to music, and shopping. I also love going to museums and art shows in my free time. I love children and every experience that I had working with them was beneficial for the both of us. I have an 8 year old brother, so I have been working with younger children for a while now!

About Me

I am currently a sophomore at Temple University and I am majoring in biology. After graduation, I will be attending medical school. My ultimate goal is to become a pediatrician. This has been my dream career for years and it is very exciting getting closer and closer to my goal!

Experience

During high school, I volunteered at a elementary school as a tutor. I tutored the students and also watched over them as they played after school. I was able to work with them academically and outside of class to create a stronger bond. After I graduated high school, I worked there as a teacher's assistant during a summer prep program. I worked with incoming freshmen by providing them with extra help and tips on how to become successful during their high school experiences.

Approach

As a child, I always did well in school. My mother always helped and encouraged me throughout school and I am very thankful for that. Tutoring was not available during my school experience, and I believe that it should be at every school. I understand that some students need extra help outside of class, and they may not receive this at home, so it is important for tutoring to be an option. As a tutor, I will teach students and also motivate them to do their best and to never give up!
