I've travelled to many parts of the world and spent two years living and working in Nicaragua as a Peace Corps Volunteer. I speak Spanish and am learning French and Portuguese. I love to travel and learn about different cultures and ways of life.
About Me
I am a conservation biologist by trade and received both my Masters degrees and Bachelors degree from the maryland">University of Maryland. My professional work has focused on international environmental challenges. I have worked for The World Bank and a number of other organizations that focus on these international issues. I have worked mostly in Latin America but also in South Asia and South East Asia.
I have tutored a number of students previously of various ages, from elementary school to high school. During this time I covered a number of different subjects ranging from math-elementary/maryland/baltimore">elementary math to Spanish and math. I have also worked with college students while I was conducting my graduate studies.
My approach to maryland/maryland/baltimore">baltimore">tutoring is to develop a connection with the student so that both maryland/maryland/baltimore">baltimore">tutor and student are comfortable with each other. It is important that both maryland/maryland/baltimore">baltimore">tutor and student feel they are on the same team and are working together to develop a better level of understanding of the subject being studied. It is important to have this positive attitude and and to use multiple approaches to teach using repetition to achieve success.
