Fun Facts
Overall, I am a very active person. I love to play sports and travel. I have been to a few countries around the world, but I have always wanted to go to Australia. I am also a big Chicago sports fan (but do not mind rooting for some Wisconsin teams once in awhile). When I want to relax, I watch movies. People say I am a movie fanatic, and I would have to agree. About Me
I am currently a senior nursing student at Marquette University. I have made the Dean's List for the last four semesters in a row. After I graduate, I hope to move back to Chicago and find a position on a cardiac or oncology unit in a hospital close to home. When I gain some experience in a hospital setting, I then plan to go back to school to become a family nurse practitioner.
I have been milwaukee">tutoring and mentoring children since elementary school in multiple settings. I tutored elementary school children as an 8th grader. During this time I also was student teaching at my dance studio. In high school I was voted President of the National Honor Society and organized a milwaukee">tutoring program during my senior year. This program allowed me to place students with appropriate milwaukee">tutors while getting a chance to milwaukee">tutor some students myself. After taking a few years off from milwaukee">tutoring to focus on my own studies, I feel it is time for me to get back into action and start helping students succeed in school.
I know how it feels to study for hours and not fully understand something. I also know the amazing feeling when I look at that same information in a different way and it finally "clicks". I want to help other students regain confidence that they can understand material they may find challenging at first. I find the best way to achieve this is by helping students take a step back, ask new questions, and approach learning in a different way that may best fit their needs. I hope to provide new insight into studying that will not only help students succeed today, but also for a life full of learning.
