Fun Facts
I'm an only child. I'm from Nashville, TN. I love music and play 4 instruments in addition to singing. I also love to dance and recently joined a swing dancing club at school.
About Me
I am a second year Materials Science & Engineering major at Georgia Tech. I've received Faculty Honors (4.0) both semesters at Tech. When I graduate, I hope to be able to research new breakthroughs in the Materials Science field.
Experience
I've been tutoring since I was in middle school through connections I made with other students and parents. Last year, I became a training manager with an organization called Robogals which teaches robotics and other STEM related activities to girls from elementary school to high school. In my role, I create lesson plans for events, train volunteers, and present the material to the children. With Frog Tutoring, I hope to be able to help even more students in my community.
Approach
I believe that everyone has the ability to be successful in academics if they are given the time and individual attention that is needed. I like to personalize the tutoring experience for each student because not every person learns in the same way. I also will be persistent and work on a concept until I am sure the student understands it. In this way, they can build a strong foundation for material they will learn in later classes.
