About Me
About a year ago I received my bachelor's degree in chemistry from Rollins College down in Winter Park, Florida. In May I moved to NYC and I'm now studying to get my bachelor's in nursing. I'm very interested in the sciences and math. I'm also a huge soccer fan. I've been playing since I was very young and its a big passion of mine.
I started manhattan">tutoring my sophomore year at Rollins and have been doing so ever since. I've tutored a wide range of subjects including algebra, geometry, general physics courses, biology, microbiology and all chemistry courses. I have also tutored students from different backgrounds, ability levels and ages.
I think the most important quality any manhattan">tutor can have is understanding. It is crucial to understand where the student is having difficulties and why they might be having these difficulties. For this reason I like to have the student explain to me what they know about the material we are covering. From there we work together to fill in the gaps. Then at the end of the session we re-evaluate and make sure we have made the progress we needed to by having the student talk through the material that was covered in our session.
