Fun Facts
One thing I am very passionate about is exercise and staying fit. I was never into physical activity throughout elementary and high school until I started running with a group of friends in college. I have never looked back since, and now I try to motivate other people to turn their lives around and start being more physically active.
On top of exercising, I also enjoy playing the guitar. Although I am not very good, I still enjoy entertaining myself with some fingerstyle guitar. I do plan on c
About Me
I am a physics graduate student at San Jose State University. I decided to come here after getting my bachelors at the University of California, San Diego because I wanted to further hone my skills in physics. I hope to finish my research and get my Masters degree and put the things I learned as a student to good use in the real world.
I started off tutoring friends when they needed help in basic math or science. As we got older the subjects became more advanced and I started tutoring them in physics as I was the only physics major they knew. During my second semester at SJSU, I found a job as a physics tutor for the physics department. I would tutor any student that came in needing help. I am now a lab instructor which requires me to lecture a class about the physics involved in that days experiment.
My tutoring approach is very simple. I never give away the answers and would always try to lead the student to the answers by asking them questions. I believe that tutoring this way will help build the students logic and fundamental understanding of the material which helps them attack problems they encounter in the future. I also try to motivate the student as much as possible to want to learn. If the student doesn't want to learn, it will be very hard to tutor them.
