Fun Facts

One of my greatest passions growing up was watching and playing soccer. I love soccer; anytime I have free time, there is a good chance I am playing soccer or reading books. I am a middle child of 7 siblings and travel frequently out of state. I did drama all four years of High School and as a result I love to sing and act. In the future I hope to become a successful plastic surgeon in Florida.

About Me

I am an Honors College Freshman here at Florida International University. My major is Chemistry with a minor in Biology and I am premed. My aspirations after my undergraduate career include frequent volunteering in hospitals and getting into medical school. My ultimate career goals would be to own my very own private practice so I could perform plastic surgery.

Experience

As a member of the National Honor Society, I had various opportunities to give back to our community. I volunteered as a tutor helping out fellow classmates who were not as good at math or science as I was. I also have teaching experience in college since I was enrolled in a teaching course which allows students to become certified teachers. Working for Frog Tutoring would allow me to impact the community and inspire students to become the best students they could possible be.

Approach

I was a poor student throughout much of middle school, as a result I had to take summer school for math. My teacher for summer school was so passionate about being us students being successful that his positive attitude rubbed off on me and I developed a love for math. With my approach as a tutor, I hope to actively engage students to arrive to answers, rather than just giving it to them. I strive to teach them that persistence is the only way to improve in school and in life.
