Fun Facts

Prior to deciding to devote my life to mathematics, I used to work as an actor in both NYC and Los Angeles. While my passion today is math, I still love going to the theatre and movies.

About Me

I am a senior at UMKC working towards my BS in Mathematics and Statistics. After finishing my work on my undergraduate degree, I plan to continue my studies and work towards a Master's in Mathematics or a Master's in Statistics. I am also a certified substitute teacher in the state of Missouri. Ultimately, I plan to work as a Mathematician or Statistician in the private sector.

Experience

I am a member of the International Honor's Society, Phi Theta Kappa. I have tutored independently for two years. Additionally, I substitute teach in the Greater Kansas City Area and have a strong background in education. I love working one-on-one to help students find a way to understand, appreciate, and even enjoy mathematics.

Approach

Let's be honest, most students hate mathematics and have completely shut down to the subject. I believe this stems from an inadequate teaching, curriculum, and approach. I help the students see the big picture and lessen their fear of the subject. With a creative teaching style, I always hope to inspire students to give math another chance.
