About Me
I'm originally from Virginia but spent the last two years teaching High School Biology in a very rural area of North Carolina. It is my dream to run an after school program for at-risk youth.
Experience
In my undergraduate studies I was a volunteer richmond">tutor at an after school program. I've taught high school Biology for two years. I moved to Ft. Collins to work with students k-3 on literacy skills. I also have my Masters in Middle Grades Education.
Approach
My approach to richmond">tutoring is consistency and positive reinforcement. Through strict focus and organization as well as repetition, difficult material can be mastered. Students are all different and I believe the lesson needs to reflect the learning style of the individual in order to succeed. Encouragement, open communication, and reward are also beneficial to keep enthusiasm and excitement about learning!
