Fun Facts
I love animals! I recently adopted a kitten and I'm obsessed with him. I also come from a musical background, and I love crafts, so I have an appreciation for art as well. When I'm not working or in school, I love to spend time outdoors hiking and swimming! I also love to travel, and spend many of my breaks from school abroad doing medical missions.
About Me
I graduated from Belmont University with a B.S. in Biology in May, 2019. I Graduated in the top 10% of my class with a 3.81 GPA, and a member of Alpha Chi Honors Society (the highest academic award Belmont offers). I will be attending medical school in the fall.
Experience
I have been tutoring for three years now. I began tutoring students after school in a metro Nashville high school in Biology and Anatomy. I've worked one-on-one, as well as in large groups with a wide range of kids. I now also tutor for the athletics department at my university, doing one-on-one sessions with students so I can really customize the experience to their needs. I love to tutor because I love my field and it is so rewarding to share that with someone!
Approach
My goal is always to help students understand the concepts and not just memorize flashcards. Students learn better when they can make connections, ask questions, and really interact with the material. My job is to act as a guide in their thinking and fill in the blanks so that they can master the content to the best of their ability.

Biology AP Tutoring
I have taken honors, AP and IB Biology in high school, as well as five other college biology courses at my university. I have excelled in all of them, and now maintain a 3.81 GPA. I have been tutoring high school biology for 3 years now, and I feel extremely comfortable with both the material and how to best teach it to students!
