Fun Facts
One passion people quickly learn about me is that I love animals. You will catch me watching animal videos or cuddling my dog on my free time. I am an older sister and have been to five countries. I enjoy community service and want to sky dive one day. I own a jewelry shop on Etsy and love Instagram.
About Me
I am a Sophomore at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County majoring in chemical engineering. I am in a sorority on campus and have gained immense amounts of leadership qualities through my executive board/council positions. When I graduate, I hope to obtain a career in chemical engineering.
Experience
As treasurer and member of National Honor Society, in high school, I had the opportunity to tutor students weekly in all subjects as well as handle money payments during my junior and senior years of high school. Upon entering college, I was eager to begin working with students again, and volunteered my time mentoring elementary children at Paul's Place in inner city Baltimore. Working for Frog tutoring gives me the opportunity to impact even more students that need help.
Approach
In elementary and middle school, I was fortunate enough to have teachers who, through positive encouragement and persistence, helped me realize my true potential. As a tutor, I attempt to bring this attitude to all of my sessions. Instead of giving students answers, I feel it is my responsibility to not only teach them the content, but study skills that will help them be successful in all classes. It is also important to form a connection in order for the student to grow.
