Fun Facts
One of my passions that stand out is my love for reading,. I enjoy reading both scholarly work and entertainment novels and I often try to find time to read as much as I can! I have three brothers, and I am the second oldest (my parents wanted one daughter and one son). Although I have several instruments, I am not proficient in any of them. When I have the time, I want to learn how to play the ocarina, piano, violin, and/or saxophone.
About Me
I am a History graduate from Cal State Los Angeles, and a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and International Golden Key Honor societies. I am currently in the Master's program for History but I am transitioning to obtaining a Certificate in Accounting. My goal is to become a Certified Public Accountant.
As former tutor of 1 On 1 Academic Tutors, my responsibilities included tutoring K-12 students on a bi-weekly basis in Math or English. All of my students have made significant progress on their test scores and as a result, I have been recognized as an exemplary tutor. With Frog Tutoring, I look forward to more than replicating this success by teaching my students efficient work ethic that is transferrable to other classes.
Being a student myself, I am very familiar with the challenges and obstacles that get in the way of a student's learning. As a tutor, I plan to teach students how to deal with these problems one step at a time on top of helping them with their coursework. They will learn more than just content: they will learn how to effectively solve answers on their own in addition to adopting study skills and habits that will help them succeed in their academic life!
