Anatomy Physiology I Tutoring

I took this course as a part of my major, receiving a high A in both lecture and lab. I absolutely love this subject and it is part of the reason I chose my major. During my time taking this class I tutored a classmate who earned a B rather than a C as a result.

Anatomy Physiology II Tutoring

I love this topic, and it is part of the reason I chose my major. I received a high A in this course during college, and I also tutored many classmates. My tutoring made a direct, positive impact on the test scores of those I helped to teach.

College Algebra Tutoring

I easily earned an A in this course, and I tutored many of my classmates as well. I helped them to understand the harder concepts and thus perform better on exams. Algebra concepts come very easily to me, and this helps me be able to effectively teach it to others.

English Tutoring

I have taken both English 101 and 102 (honors), passing both with A's. I have have also had one of my class papers published in the honors journal at my university. Throughout the years I have helped many friends edit and revise papers as well as master simple grammar and writing rules.

Kinesiology Tutoring

I have taken two kinesiology classes as a part of my major requirements, both of which I thoroughly enjoyed and passed with A's. I had also considered this field as my major, and I am very passionate about it. I have loved helping my classmates in these classes succeed as well.

Nutrition Tutoring

As a part of my major, I have taken several nutrition courses, all of which I passed with an A. I am very interested in this topic, and I done a lot of self-study in the area as well. I also have helped tutor classmates and friends on this subject, helping them to achieve A's instead of B's.

I have taken three psychology courses at my university, all of which I passed with an A. I am very interested in this topic, especially since it relates closely with the career I am pursuing in Occupational Therapy. I have helped numerous classmates and friends study the subject as well.

Sociology Tutoring

I have taken a sociology class as a part of my preparation for entrance to graduate school, and earned an A in this subject. I find this topic very interesting, and the concepts come easily to me. I have helped classmates study for exams as well, boosting their exam scores through my tutoring.

Writing Tutoring

I have always loved writing and editing, constantly editing papers for friends and classmates. I have had one of my class papers published in the honors journal at my university. I have tutored countless individuals in the art of writing and helped many create quality works which receive excellent grades.

I absolutely loved studying algebra in high school, and passed with an A. I hope to be able to pass on that love (or at least knowledge ;) to those I tutor. I tutored my younger sister in high school algebra as well as several of her friends. I have also taken college algebra at my current university, also passing with an A.

For many years I have coached friends and classmates on basic study skills. There is a lot of "go-to" advice that I have found helpful not only in my own study life but in the lives of others. Many are very smart, but they simply do not know how to properly study to maximize learning in a reasonable amount of time. It is so important, especially in high school, for young people to learn proper study habits and skills which will be applied throughout college and beyond.

I earned such a high score on the PSAT that I now have a full tuition college scholarship through the National Merit Scholarship Program. I would absolutely love to help others apply similar learning strategies to achieve high scores as well. Many put a heavy emphasis on the SAT, but the PSAT is just as important in finding scholarships and preparing for a successful career.

Piano Tutoring

I have played piano for 13 years, as well as taken music theory and composition. I composed one short piano piece for this class. I also taught both my younger sister and a friend to play piano. I absolutely love the instrument, and I thoroughly enjoy passing that love on to others.
