Fun Facts
I am from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania from a family of 6 including a fraternal twin brother. I an avid baseball fun and closely follow my favorite team, the Pittsburgh Pirates (even though they haven't had a winning season since 1992), and whenever I can, I try to go to a baseball game either at PNC park or Progressive Field. Finally, I like to watch some t.v. in my free time, and my favorite shows include Burn Notice and Suits.
About Me
I am a senior Biomedical Engineering major at Case Western Reserve University in the tissue engineering track with a minor in chemistry. In this major, I have learned about the cutting-edge research in the biomedical field from drug delivery systems, to engineering inductive scaffolding, to inducing in vivo scar-less wound healing. My ultimate career goal is to get into medical school and become a practising cardiologist.
As a sophomore in college, I participated in a school run program called Project Step Up. Through this program, I went to a local Cleveland school to assist and cleveland">tutor students in various subjects including OGT Test prep, geometry, and other subjects based upon on demand. Eventually, I had a group 0f 3-5 students whom I tutored in geometry twice a week. This was great experience and I had a lot of fun re-learning these subjects. Also, through Tau Beta Pi, the Engineering Honor's Society, I have tutored my fellow classmates in engineering core classes in preparation for their midterms and finals.
As a cleveland">tutor, I focus on teaching the underlying concepts and theory behind the subject matter. By understanding the theory, one can then learn the approaches and techniques to solve various types of problems. When I had difficulty in school, it was when I lacked a necessary fundamental understanding, but when I have succeeded, I had a sufficient understanding to both grasp and solve any problem given. Once there is a basic understanding, the next step is to develop a process to diagnosis and categorize the problem, and then to finally solve the problem. By understanding the problem focus, it is easier to develop a targeted approach and algorithmic process to solve the problem.
