Fun Facts

I am a huge NY Yankees fan, I went to Yankee stadium during the final season in the old stadium, and to the new Yankee stadium during their inaugural season. I also play guitar, I have been playing for 17 years. I like to play card/board games with my fiancee and our friends. I am also a huge music buff, I have a fairly wide taste in music, although I have particular bands that I tend to focus on. Finally, I enjoy lifting weights.

About Me

I am a graduate of Wichita State University with a BS in Chemistry with a field study in business. I also recently graduated from UMKC with a masters degree in business administration. I was recently accepted to NYU's college of dentistry for the entering class of 2013, where I will earn my DDS.

I have had previous tutoring experience at Wichita State, where I was a SI (supplemental instructor) Leader for Chemistry I and II. On average my meetings would have about 4 regular students, before exams it was common to have 15-20 students. All of my meetings went smoothly, towards the end of the semester it was common for the regular students to pitch in and start helping some of the students who did not attend regularly.

I have a fairly laid back approach to tutoring, I like to have a fluid outline that is open to revision based on the current needs that I assess at the time of the sessions. If the student appears to be understanding a topic at a satisfactory level we will move on to a new topic that is in need of improvement, or to move forward to help get a head start on an upcoming and difficult topic.
