I love exercise! I think it is a wonderful way to naturally de-stress. I have a twin brother. New York City is my second home. I love to sing. I speak Spanish.
About Me
I graduated from New York University in 2015 with a BA in Dramatic Literature, Theatre History and Cinema, and a minor in Psychology. I am currently a graduate student studying Film Directing at Chapman University.
Experience
When I was in high school I tutored Spanish-speaking children, mostly elementary school age, at Casa de Amistad in Solana Beach, CA. I also have extensive experience reading and editing the work of peers in college and graduate workshop settings, both academic papers, and creative and dramatic writing.
Approach
I like to ensure that the students who I am helping feel supported, such that they feel encouraged to figure out a problem on their own. I like to encourage them to ask the right sorts of questions, and to provide them with information that can help a student arrive at an answer, but that doesn't necessarily answer it for them.

Reading Comprehension Tutoring
I have a degree in Literature, the required classes for which focused upon the interpretation and analysis of dramatic works. This requires skillful reading comprehension that goes beyond merely understanding the words written on a page.
Study Skills Tutoring
I have a college degree which I obtained while attending to other obligations such as internships, babysitting, and part-time jobs. This need for time management required that I have excellent and efficient study skills in order to succeed at NYU.
SAT Verbal/Writing Tutoring
I received an 800 on the Critical Reading section of the SAT, and a 770 on the Writing section.
