Fun Facts
Io parlo Italiano (I speak Italian)! I've been studying Italian for over 8 years and lived abroad for six months in Viterbo, Italy (located in between Rome & Florence). While abroad, in addition to attending a University, I taught English to kindergartners and fourth graders, took a five month Italian cooking class, wrote for an Italian Newsletter in both English & Italian and traveled... A LOT!
About Me
I just moved to NYC a couple of months ago and work in the marketing industry. I am also an actor and enjoy watching films, tv and some good ol' theater!
Experience
I have years of experience from tutoring family members as well as three years of experience tutoring for America Reads America Counts where I taught fourth and fifth graders mathematics, assisted them with homework, served as a mentor and created fun, engaging games that use the math lessons learned in a fun way.
I have also tutored people in various courses, while in college and have lots of experiences tutoring high schoolers.
Approach
I understand that each person learns in a different way, just like myself, so when tutoring, I make sure to explore various avenues that works for the person I am tutoring. I tailor all of my lessons to each individual's needs and try make correlations between life and the subject or someone's favorite interest/hobby to make the subject easier to understand.
