Fun Facts

I am an avid traveler. Most months for the last few years, I have thrown a virtual dart at a map of Utah and traveled wherever it lands. I've been all over the middle of nowhere, and I love it!

I've also traveled to Europe, India, Morocco, Barbados, Canada, and all over the United States.

About Me

I am a former instructional designer, and I currently work as a professional editor. I also substitute teach and tutor at the elementary level. I am looking forward to expanding my work as a tutor.

I have a master's degree in International Affairs from The New School and a B.A. in English from BYU. I took minors in media arts studies and German.

Experience

I have tutored on a volunteer basis over the years, usually at the elementary school level. I have just begun professional tutoring, and I've also been substitute teaching for about a year and a half. I taught at an English-language program in Mumbai, India, for a summer. I have also taught music to elementary age students on a volunteer basis for several years.

Approach

I believe in developing a fun rapport with my students, but I don't believe in overlooking mistakes.
