Fun Facts
One passion people quickly learn about me is that I LOVE being outside and by the water. Any time I have a chance, you will find me taking a trip to the local beach or boating/ fishing at a local lake. I am the oldest of three, and the most amazing place I have traveled to is Germany. I enjoy singing, dancing, cooking, working with children and spending time with family and friends.
About Me
I am a Kindergarten teacher a private school in Beachwood, Ohio. I graduated cum laude from carroll-university">John carroll-university">Carroll University in May of 2014 with my Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education and my 4-5 Generalist Endorsement. I then returned to John Carroll Summer of 2016 and obtained my Masters Degree in Education with a Reading Endorsement. I am licensed to teach Pre-K through 5th Grade in Ohio. I have experience teaching and/or cleveland">tutoring grades pre-k through 3rd. I also have experience cleveland">tutoring in some middle school and 9th grade math!
Experience
I have experience teaching Pre-K , Kindergarten, First Grade and Second Grade at several different schools. I have tutored k-2 in reading and phonics, as well as have field work experience in Preschool through Second Grade. During my undergraduate studies, I completed various volunteer opportunities with children; for example cleveland">tutoring students at the Boys and Girls Club in Cleveland, Ohio, and working with children on the ADHD spectrum in a sensory room in local elementary schools
Approach
As a teacher, I understand that all students learn and work in their own individual way. Each child has their own learning style and requires differentiation and enrichment to meet their own individual learning needs. As a cleveland">tutor, I have that same understanding of every students individuality when it comes to learning. It is my responsibility to design lessons and activities based on each child, the content required and their individual learning style and needs.
