Fun Facts

My interests and hobbies are wide ranging, including sports like biking and racquetball. On a musical note, I enjoy listening to classical music, taking trips to hear ASO or the Vega String quartet, and playing the violin myself. Beyond that, I find great joy in cooking and baking.

About Me

I am recent graduate of Emory University in music performance, and will be heading to Georgia Tech this fall to study electrical engineering! Through the Dual Degree Program between Emory and Georgia Tech, I have had the privilege of attending two of Georgia's most unique and inspirational colleges, and I hope that will aid me in my future career ambitions - although they have yet to be decided!

Experience

For many years I have tutored at various levels, from middle and high school math, to college level. At Emory, through the EPASS Peer atlanta">Tutor Program, I served as a atlanta">tutor for calculus, music theory, and foreign languages for two years. I'm hoping that Frog atlanta">Tutoring will allow me to continue to help others learn.

Approach

Students all learn in very distinct ways, making it necessary to have many different techniques available. By simplifying complicated problems in to small, approachable and understandable problems, slowing weaving the pieces back together, the most seemingly difficult problem can be understood by anyone.

Algebra Tutoring

I took algebra a few years back in middle school, and have studied it thoroughly at Emory while pursuing my minor in mathematics.

Algebra II Tutoring

I took Algebra II in high school, and I have continued to use it while pursuing my math minor at Emory University.

AP English Tutoring

I took both AP Language Composition and Literature in high school doing well in both. These courses are designed to challenge your critical thinking abilities, which I hope to help you solidify through my own experiences with those classes.

Calculus Tutoring

At Emory University, I tutored Calculus I and II for two years. I am incredibly familiar and well-versed with Calculus, and hope I can share my study techniques with you to make this daunting subject enjoyable.

Farsi Tutoring

Farsi is a language I have studied my whole life. I have been a teacher assistant at my local Persian school, and can provide many resources to help you approach the language.

Taking AP Human Geography in high school was one of the most eye-opening courses for me. Knowledge of geography has become imperative in this interconnected world, and I hope my knowledge can help in anyway possible.

Pre Algebra is fundamental for understanding higher levels of math. It is crucial to get a solid foundation with these mathematical skills so that each additional math course serves to solidify your understanding.

Pre Calculus Tutoring

Pre Calculus is of the utmost importance for establishing a foundation for any higher level math course. I have taken this course in high school, and have used the skills I learned in it since then in Emory's own calculus classes.

SAT Verbal/Writing Tutoring

The Verbal/Writing Section of the SAT is perhaps one of the most daunting, yet most possible to improve with the right approach. Getting a solid structure for your essay, recognizing the grammatical trends, and systematically studying vocabulary are all ways in which I can help you obtain more fruitful results.

Spanish I Tutoring

I began studying Spanish in 5th grade, and have continued studying it since then. Besides taking advanced linguistics classes in Spanish at Emory, I have obtained the gold and bronze awards in the National Spanish Exam.

I have been studying the violin for 12 years now, and have studied with violinists including Dr. Dale Stuckenbruck and Ms. Jessica Wu. My love of the violin began at a very young age, and has greatly influenced my desire to major in music performance.
