Fun Facts
I have a year and a half old German Shepard name Harley who is the love of my life. I love taking her to do everything from camping, to rock climbing, I even want to take her skydiving. I love being active and getting out doors, I grew up in so many places when I lived in 29 different homes and went to 14 different schools. Atlanta is home though, and home is where the heart is.
About Me
I'm a junior Chemistry major at Georgia State University. I currently have a 3.6 gpa, and have high hopes for graduate school. My dream is to get my phD in biochemistry and continue on to work at either the CDC or the Department of Defense. I'm definitely a lab junky, I enjoy doing research. I'm also an aspiring author in the young adult world, my first novel is titled "Forever Changed" and should be published in only a few short months.
Experience
I have held several jobs since the age of 16 while working in school and having an active social life. I also have experience with undergraduate research, and my research has been presented at two separate national conferences. In high school I held a very high gpa of 4.16, and in college I have maintained a 3.6 gpa. I have lot's of experience with children and young adults, as well as being able to teach and atlanta">tutor. I am the oldest of six kids in my family so I gained a lot of experience.
Approach
Growing up I never had any good math and science teachers. My parent's would not take less than an A though so I had to learn to teach myself. In high school I had the most phenominal experience with my Chemistry professor that actually inspired me that I chose to continue in college, and now plan on turning it into a career. I want to foster that kind of connection with a student where they want to continue their academic career and come to learn that can do it, and even enjoy it.
