Fun Facts
My love and passion is soccer! I started playing the wonderful game at the young age of 4! I currently play for the NCAA Women's Soccer Team at UC Santa Cruz. I'm the oldest of 3 girls. I enjoy singing, art, and dancing. Some things on my bucket list are zip lining, parasailing, and sky diving. I guess you can say I'm a bit adventurous!
About Me
I am a junior Business Management Economics and Psychology double major at the University of California, Santa Cruz. After graduating I plan on getting a job at a company and getting my MBA at a top university, my dream school is maryland/columbia">columbia">maryland/columbia">columbia-university">maryland/columbia">columbia">maryland/columbia">Columbia University. I hope to one day have my own company or non-profit organization.
Experience
I've had various fontana">tutoring experience over the years. In middle school I volunteered at the elementary school near my school, I helped kindergartners learn numbers, letters, colors, shapes, etc. During high school I took up fontana">tutoring kids over the summer. Now that I'm in college, I myself used fontana">tutors to advance in my classes and I find fontana">tutoring very helpful no matter what age or school level. Working for Frog fontana">Tutoring gives me an opportunity to help students achieve their goals and potential.
Approach
As a young girl I've always been very passionate about school! I was ready to start kindergarten at 4, because I was very eager to start learning. Since then it has been my goal to help as many students as I can to continue gaining one of the most important things they can have, knowledge. Business Management Economics & Psychology
Psychology Tutoring
I am a psychology major at UC Santa Cruz. I have taken Psych 1 and received an A-, AMS 5 (statistics for psychology) and received a B+, and Psych 100: Research Methods (an upper div for psych) and received a B+. I also have done advanced social psychology research at my university with Professor Aida Hurtado and received an A+.
Algebra Tutoring
I always took advanced classes in math. I took Honors Algebra in middle school during my 8th grade year and received an A. I was also recognized as a top scholar, the top of my class because I received straight A's all through middle school.
Calculus Tutoring
I did not take Calculus in High School, however I have taken an extensive amount of it in college. My sophomore year I took Econ Calculus which is a mixture of Calculus and Economics. I took both AMS 11 A & B which were my two calculus classes, I received a B in AMS 11A and an A in AMS 11B.
Pre Algebra Tutoring
Algebra is one of my strengths. I took Pre-Algebra in 7th grade receiving an A and Algebra Honors in 8th grade also receiving an A. I took Algebra 2 Honors my sophomore year in high school and received an A. I also skipped entry level college math and college pre-calculus, starting college calculus math instead. I was placed in higher math due to my score on the math entry level college exam.
Spanish I Tutoring
I am a fluent Native Spanish speaking student. Although Spanish was not my first language, it was my second language growing up. I also started high school taking Spanish Speakers 2. Sophomore year I took Spanish Speakers 3 and Junior year I took AP Spanish Language. I had the highest grade in the class and received a 4 on the AP exam. I also took Spanish 5 in college and received an A-.
