Fun Facts
I have a huge passion for soccer and absolutely love playing. Even though I'm left-handed, I play soccer with my right foot. Also, I love to cook and I'm a big advocate for sous vide cooking.
About Me
I'm currently a Junior Mechanical Engineering student at the maryland">University of Maryland maryland/baltimore">Baltimore. I am also an academic scholar at the Center for Women In Technology. Upon graduation, I plan to attend the Massachuset Institute of Technology to earn my Masters degree in aerospace engineering. In the nearest future, I hope to contribute to the development of fuel and energy efficient aircraft.
Experience
Before I got into college I used to maryland/maryland/baltimore">baltimore">tutor informally. During my first year of college, I began to maryland/maryland/baltimore">baltimore">tutor at a non-profit organization that provides maryland/maryland/baltimore">baltimore">tutoring and homework help for students in grades K-12. After a few months, I began working as a math maryland/maryland/baltimore">baltimore">tutor in the maths department at a community college where I still work.
Approach
As a math maryland/maryland/baltimore">baltimore">tutor, I try a variety of teaching techniques in order to work out the most effective way of helping the student understand the material. Also, I teach and try to impact knowledge while encouraging critical thinking and independence. I also request feedbacks from the students so as to judge the effectiveness of my teaching style and techniques.
