Fun Facts
In my spare time, I like being active. I enjoy swimming, reading, napping, and coding. I have always lived in California; I am a huge fan of the beach. I greatly enjoy Harry Potter and Star Wars. My favorite animal is a cat; though, dogs are close second.
About Me
I am going to be a fourth year student at the University of California, Santa Cruz. I am majoring in science/california/san-jose">computer science with a minor in mathematics with a GPA of 3.62. I have been on the Dean's Honor Roll for multiple quarters. When I graduate, I hope to work for a tech company, implementing innovative ideas.
Experience
I have many years of tutoring experience under my belt, both one on one and in small groups. I tutored my fellow peers in high school as a school wide program, I then went on and tutored 2 nurses in their college algebra courses. Once I got to college, I became part of the Academic Excellence Program (ACE) where I tutored high lever math in small groups. I have been part of ACE for 2 years now. It brings me great satisfaction when the students persevere and believe in their math skills.
Approach
Growing up, I had very influential math teachers who made a great impact on my person. They are always very supportive and encouraging. Always believed I could do what I put my mind to; and with enough practice I could. I follow my teachers examples and principles when I tutor. I provide valuable problem solving skills that can be used anywhere, not just mathematics.
