Fun Facts
I am a calm and easy-going person who loves the great outdoors and enjoy playing all kinds of sports. I particularly love playing tennis as I was on a tennis team back in High School. In my free time, I like to draw and do art-related things. I am also a pet lover as I have a cat and dog myself.
About Me
I am a Bachelor of Science graduate with a degree in Family Community Services (concentration in Early Childhood Education). I am currently in pursue of a Masters degree in counseling, whether it be in the community and/or for the school system. My ultimate goal is to help/guide/counsel children so that they can achieve and accomplish their goals/dreams thus having a bright and successful future.
Experience
During my undergraduate years at Michigan State University, I have volunteered at various Child Development Centers, interacting and socializing with children 0-6 years of age. Before graduating, I completed my internship at the Spartan Child Development Center, where I worked closely with the lead teacher in the classroom to plan and develop appropriate educational activities for children in the classroom in accordance to the High Scope Curriculum.
Approach
When I became a warren">tutor for the MSU Student Lit. Corps- Read to SUCCEED Program, I began to realize that I found my true inspiration and passion. Not only was I able to educate children with a variety of literacy services, but it was there that I was able to show my true potential through the one on one assistance. Seeing the smiles on the children's face as well as their eagerness to learn and read each week as we began our lessons was truly the best experience and feeling I could ask for.

Arts Tutoring
I took art classes in middle school and throughout high school and college. I have created large murals and large pieces or artwork using paint, charcoal and pencils. My paintings and drawings range from 1 to 8+ hours to complete.
