I like every medium of art. I'm obsessed with experimenting and trying to find new ways to create things from scratch. I am kind of amazed that as human beings we have the innate ability to take something blank, raw, silent, or dismantled, and spontaneously turn it into something that reflects our individual expression. I do want to become an English teacher one day, but my dream would be to create, paint, and maintain the murals scattered throughout Philadelphia.

About Me
My name is Cole and I am a 22 year old who hails from New Jersey. Born and raised in the Garden State, in a small town not far from New York City, I was brooded by an eclectic family that is derived from all over the world. I moved to Philadelphia a few years ago to enroll at Temple University where I chose to become an Secondary English Education major. As a freshmen, I was originally just an English major. But after working with some local students through some of my college's volunteer programs, I soon discovered I wanted to pursue a career in education to help unfurl the potential and ingenuity of the children I worked with.
After working with students, from high school seniors to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders, I soon realized why I wanted to be in classrooms. If placed in an accommodating environment and given the proper provisions, their potential to develop, both academically and psychologically, is really unlimited. Through the tedious perfecting of pedagogical techniques, I believe I can one day provide students with the tools and setting that will facilitate their creativity and expand their imaginations.
My approach towards philadelphia">tutoring is not just to fill students with information as if they were empty receptacles. Even though I think providing them with conventional instruction from time to time is important to help them acquire specific topics, I believe being an expeditor that can help show them how to unshackle and develop their inventiveness and artistry is more significant. I know this comes off as bias, but I honestly believe English and the Humanities are the most important subjects in school; simply because everything in life starts with a story. Whether its movies, music, a unique invention, a brilliant philosophy, a monetary theory, or a physical regiment; I want to be able to show students how through the mastery of language, they can vividly describe their expressions to an exactness that not only displays their originality but effectively illust
