Fun Facts

One thing that people find interesting about me is that I come from a family of 15 kids. I have 10 adopted siblings and 4 biological siblings. I also love dance and love playing tennis. I enjoy watching sports with my family.

About Me

I am a senior at belmont">belmont-university">belmont">Belmont University with of major of psychology and a minor of early childhood/elementary education. I am hoping to continue at belmont">Belmont for my masters degree in both Elementary and Early Childhood education. I hope to be a education/tennessee/nashville">special education teacher since I am told I have a lot of patience.

Experience

As a student in the education department at belmont">Belmont, I have tutored many a variety of students, especially those in the elementary school years. I also have had the wonderful opportunity to assist and observe teachers. I have many younger siblings, some with disabilities and delays, that I help with schooling/homework. I have also assisted in the early education department of my church.

Approach

I have seen from helping my siblings that a positive approach works best. It is better to prevent problems then let them occur. This means always trying to be prepared for all circumstances and also trying to be as flexible as possible. The first quality that I value in my style is to respect others and to listen well. That way I can find out the perspective of the student and help guide learning. In doing so I do not give the answer but instead help the student discover the solution.
