Fun Facts
I am from Philadelphia, Pa. and I love track and field! Cross country also. Ive been running since the age of 9. I ran in college and decided to coach after my collegiate career. Other than teaching I can tell you everything about Track and cross country. I have a twin sister and I am the oldest by one minute! We have a bond that no one can explain.

I have my Bachelor's in psychology and my Master's in elementary education. Currently obtaining my certification. My goal is to become a certified science teacher.

Approach
I always knew I wanted to work with children. I thought I wanted to work on the psychology aspect with children, when I finished my bachelors I figured out I wanted to teach or help with students academically. I was always told by my parents that education was very important and i would like to instill that into the youth of todays society.

This past year I was an educational Assistant teaching English Language arts. I based my teaching off of the Engage Ny Curriculum that was advised by the school. During this time I helped them with strategies and fun games to help retain information. This helped the students get ready for TN Ready and MAP testing. This was a new subject for me so I had an instructional coach that helped me tremendously and i learned a lot along the way.

I have taught 5th and 6th grade science for a portion of the year for an interim position. During that time I helped students progress in science and got them prepared for TCAP with my learning strategies. I used the standards and created my curriculum around the standards to teach effectively. My Masters degree can help me with all subjects, but I have experience in Science.
