Fun Facts
In my spare time, I will usually watch USC football games or NBA basketball games with friends. If I'm not watching sports, I'll probably be watching Shark Tank reruns since it's the only show I watch. I'm from San Francisco, move to Los Angeles in 2008 to attend USC and have never lived outside of the state of California.
About Me
I got my first start in finance and investments in 2007 as an intern at Morgan Stanley, and have worked in finance, accounting and investments since 2010. I am currently studying for my Chartered Financial Analyst designation, and my biggest strengths are in math, financial accounting, finance and Microsoft Excel.
Experience
I've tutored students from a variety of backgrounds, ranging from elementary school math students to MBA students in the areas of finance and accounting. Every experience I've had with my students have been positive, and I do my best to make the most confusing subjects simple and easy to remember.
Approach
Simplifying things using real world examples is the approach I use when it comes to teaching the more difficult subjects like finance and accounting. With math, I will usually walk through examples in the book, explaining and numbering each step along the way before letting the students work on the problems themselves. These have been the most effective methods in my experience, but I will always start by asking the students what they're struggling with and what works best for them first.
