Fun Facts

People learn very quickly that I love a mixture between history, science, and astronomy. I'm also a very adventurous person and love to travel even if it means only getting out for the weekend every now and then. Also, one of my favorite hobbies is cars. I love working on cars (especially my own) and being able to modify them to my own taste.

About Me

I am currently in my third year at fresno-state-university">Fresno State University and I am a Pre-Nursing major. I plan on applying to the nursing program by the end of this year. My ultimate goal is to not only receive my BA in nursing, but to eventually one day get my masters degree in order to become a family nurse practitioner.

The majority of my fresno">tutoring experience has come from my personal choice to help younger family members and fellow acquaintances. I believe that the experience I gained from voluntarily helping those around me has given me the knowledge of how to approach fresno">tutoring with each person's different circumstances or situation. Also, I believe my own personal experiences throughout my academic career gives me the experience of being able to relate to most student's needs or struggles.

From my own personal experience, I know how difficult it can be to understand new material or how to grasp a new way of learning. My approach is simply that no two students ever learn in the exact same way or have the exact same problems, therefore, I believe each student's situation is completely different and requires a different approach from the last student I have tutored. From personal experience, I believe that it is always best to start off from what a student currently understands and expand into the simple concepts of what they may be struggling with. Therefore, their confidence is always gradually increasing and that next step or problem won't seem so intimidating as before. I believe that the simpler the concept can be explained in the faster and easier a student can catch on to understanding it.
