Fun Facts

My favorite thing in the world is music. I am family oriented, and I have 3 daughters that are my world. My husband and I love traveling around the US. I hope to take my family around the world and study languages, food, cultures, and of course MUSIC. I'm a book lover and I have read almost every major publication in popular culture. Math is my absolute favorite subject to teach. When I'm not chasing my kids through the sprinklers, I love to play games and watch them learn!

About Me

I am a third year student seeking my Bachelor's degree in Accounting from South University in Savannah, Georgia. I plan to continue into the master's program, achieve my goal of becoming a CPA, and open my own financial services firm. My goal is to provide services to those in need when they may not be able to afford access to such services.

Experience

I began atlanta">tutoring in middle school as a part of the summer school program. I have always tutored my level and below in Math and science. In high school, I branched out to Spanish and English. I had an internship at a local elementary school and began atlanta">tutoring full-time through Care.com. In college I have continued atlanta">tutoring all levels and subjects, including test prep. I have tutored many subjects with FrogTutoring, including ACT and SAT test prep and AP courses.

Approach

I have always loved showing students that they have the capacity to learn in their own way. When I was younger, I taught my brother how to read and do math. His uniqueness of thought always made teachers question his abilities. Having coached him into a Dean's List college student, I decided to always empower my students with the strength of their abilities, allowing them to grow and continue on a path towards lifelong learning. No matter how, they can ALL succeed.

Communication Tutoring

I have taken Communications Beginner courses, as well as Educational, Occupational, Organizational and Technological Communications. My current subject GPA is 4.0. Communications is an integral part of the Liberal Arts degree, and I will be taking more advanced comm classes in the semesters before graduation.

English Tutoring

I have taken college English and Grammar courses. I have a college English GPA of 4.0, with an ACT English score of 34.

Literature Tutoring

I have taken college English and American Literature, as well as advanced British Literature. I have been tutoring Lit for two years now, with a subject GPA of 3.75. Literature is one of my two major elective choices. If more courses were offered at my institution, I would be minoring in Literature.

Reading Comprehension Tutoring

Reading comprehension is something I have been tutoring at all levels from a young age. I have been reading on a college level since the 7th grade, and excel in all English and Literature comprehension courses.

Study Skills Tutoring

I have taken two study skills courses since I started college. My Dean's List status and success so far in school have proved that my study skills techniques are working.

Writing Tutoring

I have an ACT writing score of 9, which exceeds expectations. Composition courses GPA is 4.0, and I have been tutoring writing for 4 years.

Algebra Tutoring

I am proficient in high school Math, having taken math all the way up to Calculus II in high school. I have tutored Math more than any other subject, with a Math college GPA of 4.0.

AP English Tutoring

I have taken college English and Grammar courses. I have a college English GPA of 4.0, with an ACT English score of 34.

AP History Tutoring

I have a college history GPA of 3.5. I have taken World History, Western Civilization and American History.

Biology Tutoring

I studied high school AP Biology, and advanced Biology in college with a GPA of 3.2.

Chemistry Tutoring

I have taken advanced Chemistry I and Chemistry II in college, with a science GPA of 3.25. I tutored chemistry while taking Chemistry II, and for two years after. I took these advanced science courses while I was pursuing a degree in Neuroscience and participating in an internship for Cancer Biology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

I studied Spanish in high school and graduated as a top achieveing member of the Spanish Honor Society. I studied Spanish 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Spanish cultures and applief Spanish. I created lesson plans and study guides for lower level classes as a teacher's assistant. I am actively continuing to learn Spanish to reach fluency.

Elementary math is all about the foundation for the student, and I work hard to ensure they learn the concepts the right way the first time, providing a solid foundation for math excellence throughout their educational career. Math has always been my favorite subject.

I have studied Geography and Social Studies for the past two years in college with a GPA of 3.0.

GED Tutoring

I have experience tutoring the subjects that are included in every GED course. I have successfully performed in tbese areas as well as having coached students to success in these areas. I have tutored GED students before, with 2 going on to achieve their credentials.
