Fun Facts

When I was a child, my late grandfather showed me how to a be a true San Diego sports fan. As a sixth generation San Diegan, I have lived in this great city all my life. I am a devoted follower of all San Diego sports teams and can recite every statistic of every player over the last fifteen years! As an avid musician, he also gave me a passion for music. He taught me how to play the piano and the drums and I still play both to this day. Family means everything to me and I am extremely grateful to have such a loving and supportive family in my corner.

About Me

Hello! My name is Chad Escobedo and I am currently in my final semester at San Diego State University. I am majoring in International Business with an emphasis in Spanish and Western Europe, and I am minoring in Management. My career goals are to put my entrepreneurial spirit and interpersonal skills to use by successfully running my own start-up company. I have a passion for traveling and I love learning new languages. I have lived in Spain and have traveled all of Western Europe and am very eager to see more of the world!

I love tutoring and helping children of all ages reach their personal educational goals. I have a tremendous amount of tutoring experience with my younger sister and her friends. I have also volunteered at elementary schools to help refine my tutoring skills.

My tutoring approach that I have found to be most successful and the most rewarding is by building a strong rapport with the student. I find that the better relationship I have with the student, the more successful the student will be in reaching his/her goals. I get a great deal of satisfaction seeing a students face when things finally start clicking and they begin understanding the material better than they thought they could.
