Fun Facts
Although my three siblings live in three different states, my family is the number one priority in my life. Out of all my hobbies, traveling is what I love most. I had the opportunity to live in Spain for a semester, and I loved every second of it. All types of music make me happy- from reggae to country to Disney. I love meeting people from different cultures to widen my perspectives as often as I can.
About Me
I am a senior Strategic Communication major at Texas Christian University, which focuses on advertising and public relations. I am also pursuing a minor in Spanish & Hispanic studies and a Certificate in International Studies. I am involved in Greek Life at TCU, and have managed to make straight A's thus far in my college experience.
Experience
My younger brother struggled with school and homework up until he graduated from high school. As his older sister, I tutored him in multiple subjects for years to help him reach his academic goals. I have also been editing essays for peers at TCU and other colleges, as that is one of my greatest strengths. When I lived in Spain, I got to teach English classes to Spanish children. I look forward to helping more students of all ages through Frog Tutoring.
Approach
I always spend time at the beginning of each session to create specific goals that vary from student to student. I find out the root of the misunderstanding, and build a solid foundation to ensure the student feels comfortable with the subject before moving forward. Confidence is important in academics, and I constantly encourage my students for their improvement. Furthermore, the study skills that I demonstrate for them will be useful in every subject from now into the future.

I have edited English papers for multiple peers throughout college, and my professors have recognized my writing and editing skills as elite.

My courses include Writing as Inquiry, Basic Speech, Writing & Editing, Writing Argument, Strategic Writing, Mythology, and Medieval Literature. Reading Comprehension was crucial in many of those courses, and I gained study skills that will benefit students and save them time.

Elementary Math Tutoring
I excelled in math throughout my childhood. The last math class I took was AP Calculus my senior year of high school since I am not majoring in a math-related field at TCU. However, Elementary Math is something I love to teach and help younger children with. Math is unique in that there is always a correct answer, and confidence is key when solving problems. Teaching kids math in a visual way is very beneficial, so I always try to keep them engaged.
Social Studies Tutoring
I have taken multiple social studies courses here at TCU and throughout high school, and never received lower than an "A" in any of them. Some of them include World History, United States History, Environmental Science, Contemporary Issues in Science, and Texas History. Social Studies are fun to teach because I like to turn the content into a story in order to make it easier for children to grasp and remember.
