Fun Facts

One fun fact about me is that I have my boater's license. My family has a lake house that we go to every weekend in the summer where I can drive our wave runner. I love watching basketball! I used to play until everyone else grew while I stayed the same height. My senior year of high school I was photo editor of the yearbook, so I love taking pictures. I also enjoy reading in my spare time.

About Me

I am a freshman at Texas Christian University. I currently have not decided on a major, but I'm leaning toward strategic communication. I am a member of the John V. Roach Honors College and participate in the Student YMCA on campus. I will be secretary/treasurer for it in the fall. I also attend a bible study once a week through Campus Crusade.

In high school I was a member of National Honors Society and National Spanish Honors Society which both required peer tutoring throughout the semester. My last two years of high school I was a nanny for two elementary age boys. Part of my job consisted of making sure the boys got their homework done correctly and turned in on time.

Beginning in middle school my friends have all turned to me to explain math concepts to them. I found that finding the initial area of confusion and going from there is very effective. I don't believe in giving the student the correct answer, but rather guiding them so that they figure it out on their own.
