Something I love to do whenever I have the opportunity to sing! I am going to even sign up for next summer's Sugar Land Super Star! I am also an avid reader and love to cook! I have even started to create my own recipes to share with my kids one day!
About Me
I am a Project Management Analyst at Sysco Foods. I have worked in accounting or project work for over 10 years. I have performed project management roles for the last 5 years, and I am planning to go back for a Master's soon. I am also in the process of gaining a teacher's certification so I can bring my real world knowledge into the classroom! I am Puerto Rican and a native Spanish speaker. I love sharing the language with others. I am married with 4 children and 2 step children - big family!
Experience
In Spanish, I bring knowledge as a native speaker. During college, I was awarded the most outstanding student for all English classes in 2009 - I was selected from thousands of students who participated in an English class that year! I was on the Dean's List every semester of college except for the last. I graduated Suma Cum Laude from houston">the houston">University of Houston with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Organizational Leadership and Supervision.
Approach
My greatest struggle in my school was always math. I took a Logic course in college to avoid another math course. The professor in this class ensured me that I would be working the same brain area with the less threatening characters - letters! His patience and consistent support helped me gain confidence in an area that I truly struggled to understand. I believe in positive reinforcement and asking a lot of questions. Also as a CPC. I was trained to ask the right questions!
