I am a huge Chicago sports fan who loves football and hockey. Since moving to Colorado I have really enjoyed hiking and snowboarding.

About Me

I am currently a high school education/colorado/denver">special education teacher here in Denver, Co. I have my undergrad degree in education and my masters degree in education/colorado/denver">Special Education. I have taught a variety of subjects ranging from Calculus to reading-comprehension/colorado/denver">reading comprehension in grades 3-12. I am very confident in my skills as an educator and would make a great denver">tutor. I have always enjoyed teaching as a education/colorado/denver">special education teacher and know that understanding the learning style of a student is very crucial to their success in school

Experience

Student taught 7/8th grade History and Science outside of Philadelphia, Pa where I also tutored in the inner city throughout my time in college.

Teach for America Participant in Chicago for 2 years where I taught High School education/colorado/denver">Special Education.

Taught at a residential day program in Denver to 6th-8th grades in all subjects.

Currently employed by DPS as a high school education/colorado/denver">special education reading and writing teacher.

Approach

As a child, I sometimes struggled in school and found learning to be difficult and lost some confidence in myself. In middle school, I was fortunate enough to have a teacher who, through positive encouragement and persistence, helped me realize my true potential. As a denver">tutor, I attempt to bring this attitude to all of my sessions, and as a current teacher I know the power of a great education.
