I have an affinity for adventure. I have traveled to over 12 different countries to explore their cultures and customs. It has taught me the wonders of person to person exchange.

About Me

I graduated from Oregon State University in 2011 with a degree in Biology. I intend to use that degree to further my education in the health care field. I will be applying, this fall, to medical school, where I hope to become a pediatrician.

I have been working with students as an educator for a long time. I have tutored through the Oregon State Mathematics Dept., The Science and Math Investigative Learning Experience, and independently with my peers and those younger than I. I just recently returned from working as an Elementary and Middle School English teacher in South Korea. I am excited to learn and grow as a portland">tutor and individual by working with Frog portland">Tutoring.

As a student I have learned that idea fundamentals and organization have been the keys to my success. I use this knowledge to help my students by presenting ideas in an organized step by step fashion that build upon themselves to reach a goal. I am a very visual learner and rely on digrams, drawings, and charts to explain ideas. I also use rewards such as on topic activities, puzzles, and games to allow students to have fun while reinforcing core concepts.
