Fun Facts
I am one of the most frugal people you will ever meet. Ever. If there is something that I can build with my hands or make on my own without having to buy it at the store, I'll do it. I've made clothes, posters, toys, gifts, anything you can think of. I have even build my own bookshelves out of scrap wood!
About Me
I am a first-year science/maryland/baltimore">Computer Science and Biology double major at the maryland">University of Maryland, maryland/baltimore">Baltimore county where I am both a Meyerhoff Scholar and CWIT (Center for Women In Technology) associate. I currently, even as a first-year coming in, hold a 4.0 GPA. In addition, I am currently an aspiring research scientist already holding two published papers in the NCBI database. When I graduate college I plan on pursuing a MD/PhD in science/maryland/baltimore">Computer Science and continue on as a research scientist.
Experience
For almost 7 years I have been a part of a summer camp in which I am able to mentor children from grades K-6. In addition upon entering high school I was able to teach kids ranging from K-12 in all subject areas in being the Distinguished Young Woman of Montgomery County and participating in my school's honor societies. Lastly, as an ambassador for the Maryland Business Round Table of Education I was able to go across Maryland to mentor kids grades 8 & 9 about the importance of being in school.
Approach
I believe the most important part in maryland/maryland/baltimore">baltimore">tutoring a student is creating a relationship with them in which I am not just someone who is giving them generalized information, but rather I am someone there for them to look up to when they need help. In addition, while maryland/maryland/baltimore">baltimore">tutor students my goal isn't to help them just pass an exam, test or quiz, but to aid them in their transition from student to a scholar. I want to help foster a love of knowledge in all of my students to better them for the future.

Computer Science & Biology
Anatomy Physiology I Tutoring
In high school, I had taken every single science class available to me, excelling highly in all of them. My most advanced science courses include: College level Anatomy and Physiology, AP Biology and AP Physics. In addition, I am a current scientist twice published in the NCBI database for a biotechnology project I worked on when I was just sixteen. Double majoring in both Computer Science and Biology makes me also very up to date and shows how passionate I am in the sciences.
AP History Tutoring
In my high school career, I took every social studies c lass available to me which included AP Government, AP U.S. History and AP World History. In addition I have 4 years experience tutoring kids in grades K-12 in many subjects including History. In addition because I took the class I have knowledge of the format and nature of the AP examination, in which I scored a 5.
Biology Tutoring
In high school, I had taken every single science class available to me, excelling highly in all of them. My most advanced science courses include: College level Anatomy and Physiology, AP Biology and AP Physics. In addition, I am a current scientist twice published in the NCBI database for a biotechnology project I worked on when I was just sixteen. Double majoring in both Computer Science and Biology makes me also very up to date and shows how passionate I am in the sciences.
