Fun Facts

I love any and all sports, soccer is my favorite though and I have been playing my whole life. I grew up in Portland, Oregon with my 4 siblings, who all like to make sure I know that I am the youngest. I generally don't go dessert foods, with the strong exception of cookies 'n cream ice cream.

About Me

I recently graduated from portland-state-university">Portland State University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a Spanish minor. Previously, I received an AA in Visual Communication and worked as a freelance graphic designer. I hope to work in product development and design as I advance in my career.

Experience

While attending Whatcom Community College I served as a lab assistant, where I would provide washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutoring assistance to graphic design students in programs like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Throughout my schooling, I have also assisted friends and fellow students who were struggling with math or physics. I love helping students keep up with their studies and I think that anyone can tackle whatever subject they set their mind too!

Approach

I like to make sure that students understand the reasons for the specific methods used in each problem. It is one thing to be able to get the right answer by memorizing a formula, but if a stronger understanding of the principles is achieved then they will be far more successful in future problems and tests.
