I must say I am a very interesting person. A lot of people when they first meet me may think that i very quite and shy. Which is partially true but for the most part i am very exciting and energetic person

About Me

I am currently a senior, studying science/illinois/chicago">computer science. I have been on the Dean's since fall 2013. I was raised in Minnesota. However, my birth place is Chicago, Ill. When i graduate this fall my plan is to continue on to graduate to get my master. My goal is to become aprofessor teaching math courses to college students. Furthermore, I am currently starting my own non profit organization for youth girls in minority communities. This organization seek to promote education and self respect.

Experience

I started off as a mentor in highschool, working with freshmen and middle school students. leading me to becoming a chicago">tutoring help students w/math homework. From there chicago">tutoring became a passion for me. I then began working with the youth in my community and family. Assisting them with homework and developing their math skills. Once I began college I started working with college students. Over the last three years i have worked at about 2 chicago">tutoring companies but most of the time im independent.

Approach

I believe math is very important subject not only does it teahes you about numbers but also it helps with problem solving that is very beneficial in life. I know it it get very difficult to comprehend, thats why it is important for students to have that extra one on one help. Every child learns differently so they way one teacher may be teaching my not be the best fit for a particular child.
