Fun Facts
I am originally from Puerto Rico, but currently enjoying living in Miami. The passion and music of my culture have inspired me to explore all things art. During middle and high school, my love for singing, dancing, and painting grew immensely. I loved singing in my high school show choir and had amazing experiences obtaining awards in Festival Disney. Moreover, the various missions trips I have been a part of were of great motivation for me to want to inspire others sharing what I have received.
About Me
I'm a Senior at Florida International University's Honors College. I'm pursuing a bachelor's degree in Psychology, while also minoring in Biology. I'm a recipient of the National Hispanic Merit Scholarship and a member of the National Society of Collegiate scholars. I have been in the dean's list for almost 2 years in a row and am passionate about psychology. My hope is to graduate and obtain a PhD in Clinical Neuropsychology. I enjoy working with people and helping improve their lives daily.
Experience
As a member of FIU's Honors College I have had the opportunity of mentoring students with cognitive disabilities in their academics and miami">tutoring children in the City of Sweetwater. I commonly tutored English and Math. Additionally, I have 7 years of experience teaching Sunday school lessons. Also, I am currently a research assistant for the department of Psychology. I love enriching childrens' lives and helping improve their academic careers and believe FrogTutoring is a great platform to do so.
Approach
Growing up I had many great teachers that changed my life for the better. I believe that giving back to help others is the best way to be grateful for what you receive. As a miami">tutor, I am dynamic, enthusiastic, and organized. I look forward to positively impacting my student's lives just as my own teachers impacted mine. Psycholgy
English Tutoring
I am great at English composition and got an A+ in all of my English (ENC) courses in college. I have been praised for my writing skills and love to teach it, specially to students who are non-natives like myself. I have tutored this subject to non-natives and have seen great progress.
Psychology Tutoring
I am currently pursuing a psychology major and am passionate about this subject. I have gotten all A's in all my psychology courses at the college level. I have also been able to do psychological research and apply my psychological knowledge into the field, which helps me teach it better.
Spanish I Tutoring
I am a native Spanish speaker and am passionate about my language. I have taken intensive Spanish courses all throughout my academic life and did really well in them. I took the CLEP level 1 and 2 and passed it with no problem (obtaining credits for Spanish I and Spanish II).
