Fun Facts

I have played violin since the 3rd grade. I graduated from a performing arts high school (major:orchestra, minor: chorus) and am fluent in music theory. I have tried out for American Idol, Search for the next pussycat doll, and The Voice. I make a habit of singing karaoke on a bi-weekly basis!

About Me

I am a 24 year old young woman who graduated Summa Cum Laude (3.93 G.P.A.) from houston">University of Houston in December of 2012. I am currently in a doctoratal degree program for Clinical Psychology at NovaSoutheastern in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. I am a member of the Mathematical Association of America, Phi Kappa Phi, Phi Theta Phi, Psi Chi, and Pi Gamma Mu.

I tutored all my friends undergrad and even a few classmates as well. Ever since starting school I have been draw to assisting other students and have been offered several Teaching Assistant positions. In addition, I have been mentoring K-12 grade students while serving as a contract judge at H.I.S.D. tournaments since 2009.

When miami">tutoring a new individual, I find out the current study habits first so I can get an idea of what I am working with and assess the entire situation. Also, I like to establish from day one with all clients that all questions are welcome and there is no such thing as a stupid question. I believe the miami">tutoring environment should be similar to a safe haven where the client can feel comfortable coming to me with questions and I can assist where needed. So many times I have seen students skip asking a question out of fear that the question was stupid.
