I enjoy playing my clarinet in my free time. When I was in high school I played in the band and orchestra. I also enjoy volunteering in my community to help those in need.

About Me

I am currently a junior studying to be a teacher. I am interested in teaching early elementary. I believe all students are capable of learning if provided with the right tools.

I spent a year detroit">tutoring in an under resourced middle school. I was responsible for providing in class detroit">tutoring, as well as small group detroit">tutoring. I currently volunteer helping Arabic speaking students strengthen their English skills.

My aim as a detroit">tutor is to provide a comfortable climate where students can receive individualized help. I build on the students' prior knowledge so the student can use what he or she already knows to complete the assignment. I have noticed that this approach also builds confidence. I believe in using additional resources to help the child learn, because I understand the textbook may not be enough to reach the child.
