Fun Facts
I was born, raised, and live in Astoria, Queens. In between time for tutoring and teaching, I work as a journalist. For fun, I do my fair share of reading, but also make sure I know everything going on with the Mets and Giants!
About Me
Anytime I teach students, I hope to get the most out of them. However, this can take time, and patience must be employed. Given my experience of over eleven years, I have developed a good ability to assess what a child needs and always do my best to come up with a plan that will optimize both productivity and learning over a practical period of time.
I have been in the classroom for over eleven years now and have had literally countless tutoring sessions in both large and small groups, as well as one-on-one sit downs. Though I've enjoyed the classroom setting, there is nothing like tutoring that helps to create personal trust and mutual admiration between student and teacher. It arguably is the best way to educate.
I've always felt that, despite what many others may believe, that a teacher does in fact have to earn their student's trust and respect. So, I give them just that with the hopes of it being returned. This all comes easy to me because there is no better feeling than the pride that comes with seeing learning happen and knowing that I lent a helping hand.
