Fun Facts
One thing that I am known for is being a dancer. I have danced since I was four years old and am still teaching and am actually minoring in dance. In high school I was in ASB in all four years and sophomore through senior year I held a office. ASB was definitely the highlight of my high school experience.
About Me
I am a sophomore math major at Fresno State University. I plan on being a high school math teacher, and then possibly going on to get my masters degree in either math or administration. I am also a dance minor and plan on continuing to teach as long as I can.
Experience
As a dancer, I got the opportunity to work with young students at our studio when I was 12 years old as a teachers assistant. By the time I was 17 I was given my own classes to teach and love doing it. This semester one of my classes at school requires us to observe a classroom where I also get to help students who are struggling in the class and so far I have really enjoyed being in the classroom and providing support and guidance to the students.
Approach
Growing up, I was always very bright and understood most things being taught in class. The only time I wouldn't understand things is if the teacher wasn't very good at explaining the concept. Through those experiences with those teachers who weren't as good, it made me want to be a teacher even more so that I would really be able to help students understand. As a tutor I really try to understand exactly what the student isn't grasping and help them to be confident in their abilities.

Mathematics
Algebra Tutoring
Taken in 8th grade, received an A in the class. Tutored this subject occasionally throughout high school. I am a math major with plans to be a math major.
Geometry Tutoring
Taken in high school and received an A both semesters. I was able to understand the subject very easily. I am currently a math major to become a math teacher.
Math Tutoring
Math is something that I have always been good at. I took math all four years of high school and received only A's and B's. I am also majoring in math to be a math teacher.
Pre Algebra Tutoring
I took this class in middle school and received an A in the class. Pre Algebra is something that I still use in my math classes today. I am a math major with plans to be a math teacher.
Pre Calculus Tutoring
I took this class in high school and received a B in both semesters. After taking calculus in high school and college, I was able to understand pre calculus even more. I am a math major with plans to be a math teacher.
Middle School Math Tutoring
In all of the math classes I have taken from middle school through college so far, I have not received a grade less than a B. I have also helped tutor middle schoolers occasionally in math throughout high school. I am a math major with plans to be a math teacher.
Elementary Math Tutoring
Throughout elementary school all the way through my college classes so far, I have not received a grade less than a B in my math classes. I have helped tutor children with math throughout high school. I am currently a math major with plans to be a math teacher.
Algebra II Tutoring
In high school I received an A in this class both semesters. I have helped many people struggling in this class throughout high school. I am currently a math major and plan on being a math teacher.
