Fun Facts

I am from LA and have 2 younger siblings. I am a huge fan of the NBA. I love comedy movies but most of my favorite movies are dramas. I enjoy playing all sorts of sports including basketball, soccer, baseball, and volleyball. I absolutely love watching all sorts of sitcoms and TV shows like The Office, Seinfeld, Arrested Development, Game of Thrones, and Malcolm in the Middle.

About Me

I am a senior History major at UCLA. I have been on the Deans List every quarter and I am an Alumni Scholar. I have presented history research in front of Alumni as well as at UCLA's Annual History Undergraduate Research Conference. My goal is to become a teacher and help students grow into inquisitive and thoughtful adults.

Experience

The majority of my experience is having worked as a tutor with Los Angeles Student Educational Outreach (LASEO) in previous years. Additionally I have more often than not been the leader in study groups for various classes in subjects from history to science, helping my peers to understand the material in preparation for a test.

Approach

My main goal when it comes to tutoring is to help the student comprehend the information presented, organize it in a fashion that helps them to make it of use to them, and having them be able to explain the information back to me. If the student can explain it, they can master the material and get a good grade. This approach is great for essay writing and studying for tests.
