About Me
I majored in Physics from washington-university">Washington University in St. Louis and am currently pursuing a Masters in science/missouri/kansas-city">Computer Science from UMKC. I was very good at Math in high school, and enjoyed the introductory Physics very much. During college I found that I enjoyed programming more than my Physics class, so I decided to switch subjects.
I've been tutoring people from high school through college and am still helping people today. I usually help people in math, but occasionally I'll help people with Physics. Right now I'm tutoring my girlfriend in Calc 1 and science/missouri/kansas-city">Computer Science. I helped my friend on the GRE a year ago, and he did so well that he insisted on buying me a movie ticket.
How I approach it depends largely on the person I'm helping. I try to judge how they learn best and teach them that way. My girlfriend, for example, is very good at doing something as long as she's done it before, so I show her how to do an example. My friend that I helped on the GRE, on the other hand, was better when I explained the concepts to him.
